Description:
This unique house is in the centre of Daglan, one of the most beautiful villages of France. It is the oldest house in the village, with a special history: 970 years ago it was built as a church. The house is quietly situated at the local source (La Fontaine), within walking distance of a bakery, a butcher and a supermarket. For almost ten years now the owner has been working on the extensive restoration of the house, where possible return of authentic details is an important principle. It is an attractive house, with lovely old beams and the fireplace mantels are pleasing to the eye.
The ground floor holds a small but cosy library/office, tiled with authentic church flagstones. On this floor there also is one bedroom with built in cupboards, a shower and separate toilet. The very spacious living room with open kitchen (78m2) located on the middle floor, has a wonderful chestnut wooden floor and a beautiful fireplace with wood stove. The ambiance is warm and cosy, while the room overlooks La Place de la Fontaine. The spacious and well finished bathroom as well as a separate toilet, are in a small hall next to the main entrance of the house. The upper floor holds four bedrooms. A building permit has been issued for the award of three stone windows (lucarnes), allowing the upper floor to be more spacious and lighter (see attached building plan).
At the entrance, on the side of La Rue des Amoureux, is a small garden which gets lovely sunshine in the morning. The large garden with its barn/workshop and large swimming pool is located on the side of La Place de la Fontaine.
Also there is a separate garage for one car.
Price: 320,000 euro
